Sample Contribution to "New Climbs"

State: VICTORIA

Location: THE WATCHTOWER (N GRAMPIANS)

The following six climbs are on the major buttress with All Along the Watchtower up the middle. With few exceptions the rock is of superb quality, as Arapilesian as any in the Grampians. Being on the most accessible cliff in the Grampians – and one of the most visited – the best climbs on this buttress are likely to become well-worn classics.

Shake for Me 20 m 16
Good climbing. Start up small corner on L side of face 6 m L of All Along the Watchtower, starting from same ledge. Finish by climbing just on L side of arête.
