Technical: Climbing involving technique; moves that have to be thought through and performed with care and skill.
Thin: Having small holds. See also Crimpy.
Thread: Protection comprising a sling threaded through a hole in the rock.
Three-point climbing: Always having three points of contact with the rock; only moving one hand or foot at a time.
Thrutch: To squirm upwards in an awkward manner (particularly in a tight chimney).
Topo: A cliff diagram with climbs marked.
Top-rope, top-roping: A rope set up to en-able climbers to ascend a climb with a rope protecting them from above.
Traditional (trad): Naturally protected climbing or climbs and the climbers practising such climbing. See also Sport climbing.
Traverse: 1. To climb sideways. 2 A part of a route involving a sideways climb.
